This month my blog is about a book that left a very lasting impression on me. Tracy McMillan, author of "I Love You And I'm Leaving You Anyway", is an incredibly gifted writer who is raw and real and shows a fearlessness in her voice that will inspire all writers.
Love is something we are all constantly learning how to do better. It is a running theme in all of our lives and in every story we tell. It is an emotion that fulfills us, inspires us, excites us, brings us joy, makes us believe, belittles us, confuses us, haunts us, enrages us, hurts us and the list goes on. In the book, "I Love You And I'm Leaving You Anyway," the brilliant author, Tracy McMillian, takes you on an unforgettable journey through her life, tracing her choices with love back to her father. DIRECTORS Since I've opened
I've had many directors ask me if I can do for directors what I'm doing
with writers. Well, I found a veteran who can, Mark Travis. For more information go to www.markwtravis.com.
Mark
Travis created THE TRAVIS GROUP in 1992 as a training and
consulting company for directors, actors and writers. In 1999 he joined
forces with director/writer Frederick Johntz and they formed TRAVIS-JOHNTZ PRODUCTIONS (www.travis-johntz.com)
which
has become a prestigious development and consulting company for both
studio and independent
feature films and television.
Mark did his graduate studies at the Yale
School of Drama and is a former creative consultant to film director Mark Rydell.
