Hello and welcome to the April Newsletter for Jen Grisanti Consultancy Inc. This month I would like to discuss the value of emotional depth in writing. When we watch story and experience story, we emotionally respond to truly knowing and understanding the characters in the story. A strong story that is well told affirms our life experience. If the storyteller has the gift of shining light on who we are watching and why we should care about them, the overall experience has more value. I like to push writers to strive for this emotional depth in the stories they tell. For more, go to my BLOG
STORYWISE SEMINAR WORKBOOK: GEARING UP FOR STAFFING AND DEVELOPMENT SEASON
The workbook that I give out exclusively at my seminars is now available to you in hard copy format for $22.95.
And as result of the large number of orders, the workbook is now also downloadable on Kindle and Lulu.com for $18.95.
It is 30 pages long and chock full of all the information
you need for staffing and development, including the components and
structure of strong spec and pilot scripts, story breakdowns of current
shows, career tips and the results of a questionnaire to top studio and
network executives. You will also find a one sheet of the answers that the panel gave from the event. With this workbook, you will be able to elevate your existing scripts as well as increase your chances of writing stronger new scripts.
10% of the profits from the sales of this workbook will benefit rescue and recovery efforts in Haiti and Chile.
