Happy holidays from Jen Grisanti Consultancy Inc!  This is a quick newsletter to add a little more spirit to your holidays.

I chose this holiday image because it represents the spreading of light,the theme I'd like to explore this month.  I came across two words that reflect this idea in the book, ZEN HEART by Ezra Bayda, "Be Kindness."  Ezra writes, "We think that we need approval.  We think that we need to be loved.   But, as usual, we have it backward.  As we mature spiritually, we discover that we don't need to be loved--, the real need, if you want to call it that, is to love.  To love, or to live from Being Kindness, means that we're living from our natural being -- from the Zen Heart...." These words have had such a profound affect on me as I experience the rush of the holidays.  I encourage you to think about them as you journey through all of your holiday obligations.  If we operate from this space, it is amazing how much life opens up.  For more, go to my BLOG.

HOLIDAY BAKING
A way that I like to spread light during the holidays is by baking.  As a child, my grandmother, who lived in New York, used to always send us a bucket of cookies at Christmas.  I viewed it as a bucket of love.  My mother continued this tradition by baking for all occasions. 

As a way to encourage you to do the same and reap the rewards, I've listed my favorite Christmas Cookie Recipes.

Another way to spread light is by sharing my knowledge and experience as a way to empower others.  My next seminar is all about preparing the writer to be in the best place possible for the upcoming staffing and development season.

It is at UCLA on Saturday February 27, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

If you buy tickets before January 15, 2010, the cost is $75.00.  After that, the cost increases to $110.00.
