UPCOMING EVENTS FOR OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER JEN GRISANTI CONSULTANCY INC.

Welcome to my update in between newsletters.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Screenwriting Expo!  It was a tremendous experience!  I loved every moment of teaching the class on Career Guidance for Writers.

I checked out several of their other classes.  I'd have to say my favorite was taught by Marilyn Horowitz.  She is author of 4 Magic Questions of Screenwriting.  Her class was brilliant!  I loved her approach.  Her book is one of the strongest out there on screenwriting.

WRITERS BOOTCAMP

MONDAY OCTOBER 26, 2009 - PANEL
2525 Michigan Ave., Bldg. I, Santa Monica, CA 90404 at 7:30 P.M.

Final Draft software, "Script" magazine, and Writers Boot Camp are hosting a series of FREE writing panels designed to help film and TV writers navigate Hollywood... and I'll be speaking on next week's TV panel, "Getting In the Writers Room."

Getting In the Writers Room
Writing for television is challenging, and even more so now that shrinking budgets mean shrinking writing staffs and salaries. Learn from working television writers what the inroads to the writers room are today, and how you can find success in the changing television landscape.

I'll be joined by four other AMAZING panelists...

·  Rich Hatem (writer/producer: The Dead Zone, Mothman Prophecies, Supernatural)
·  Chad Gervich (writer/producer/award winning playwright, author of Small Screen, Big Picture: A Writers Guide to the TV Business)
·  Carole Kirschner (former VP at Amblin Ent. and CBS, now running the WGA Showrunners Program and CBS Writers Mentoring Program)
·  Cary Okmin (head of Disney Online)

QUICK AND HEALTHY BITES

I LOVE Vegan Glory.  My favorites on their menu are the lentil wrap and cold tofu.  They are incredible!  I've turned many non-healthy eaters into lovers of their lentil wrap.

THE NEWSROOM CAFE - This is one of my other favorite healthy spots for a quick bite.  My favorite dishes here include the Chili Poached Eggs with whole grain toast (their toast is really thick and yummy!) and their Tuna Salad.  Also, they have glutton free desserts including glutton free ice cream!
