TELEVISION PITCH AND PILOT SEMINAR
I am teaching a Television Pitch and Pilot Seminar on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at UCLA from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.  It's development season and it's time to prepare.  In this class, I'll provide tips to help you be more confident about pitching your story and writing your pilot.  We will review the story structure in the pilots that were picked up this year and what stands out about them.  I'll help you understand the different identities of each network so that you know where your story fits.

NEW PODCAST SERIES
I am incredibly excited to announce that my next podcast guest is the remarkably talented and gifted writer, Krista Vernoff, Executive Producer/Showrunner of GREY'S ANATOMY.  This podcast will be available by the end of June.

My second podcast for my new series,  STORYWISE, features an interview with the talented, witty and clever writer of 17 AGAIN, Jason Filardi.  Jason gives incredible insight about his journey as a working writer.  He also offers great advice to writers that you will not want to miss.  The podcast is available on my website or iTunes.

FRIDAY NIGHT DRINKS - REMINDER
There will be no Friday Night Drinks tonight because I will be in Seattle doing my seminar.  The next one is on Thursday, July 9th because of the 4th of July holiday.

I am offering a new service helping writers on their meeting skills.  You can book me for one hour and we'll go over everything you need to be more confident in the room. 

If you staffed and would like to insure staying on staff, I've designed a service to help writers be able to anticipate the notes that may come from the studio and network as a way to help your creative process during this difficult climate.
