Hello,
I am incredibly excited about the first upcoming seminar hosted by Jen Grisanti Consultancy at UCLA on Saturday, September 20, 2008. It's going to be a very informative event for anyone who desires to learn more about STORY.
After being a television executive for over a decade at top studios and working with some of the biggest names in the industry, I decided to design a seminar that will give people insight into the creative process from the studio executive/story analyst /executive producer points of view. What makes a good writer? What are the best scripts to write right now? What do writers need to do to best prepare for meetings? What makes for a good meeting? What's the key to networking? What are some mistakes that writers make on the page and in the room? What can writers do to increase their chances of getting hired? These are only some of the topics that will be covered.
To help me answer the above questions, I have gathered a trio of very talented executives in the business; Glen Mazzara, Executive Producer/Showrunner of the upcoming series CRASH on Starz, Elisa Roth, Sr. VP, Drama Programs, Universal Media Studios and Gaylyn Fraiche, VP, Martin Chase Productions.
Please forward this e-mail to anyone who you feel would benefit from this event.
