Hello,

Are you a writer or interested in becoming one?  Does your job entail evaluating story?  Do you want to have a stronger understanding of how the whole creative process works?  I am offering my first seminar September 20, 2008 at UCLA.  During the one-day event, participants will receive key information from the Studio Executive/Executive Producer points of view about story and working in TV and film.

As a Current Executive for eleven years at CBS/Paramount and Spelling Television Inc., I helped to staff over 15 primetime shows.  During this time, I learned a great deal about story and the staffing process that I feel will be very beneficial to seminar participants.  I've also gathered an extraordinary group of guest speakers who are currently working in top positions in the industry to share their knowledge about story as well as getting a job as a writer.

I am honored to now announce that Glen Mazzara has been added to the list of guest speakers.  Glen is currently the Showrunner/Executive Producer on the upcoming series, CRASH, on Starz.  He has logged many successful seasons in TV as an Executive Producer on THE SHIELD and LIFE and Co-Executive Producer on STAND OFF.  Glen is an incredible talent and I feel fortunate to have him on the panel.

On the television side, I am thrilled that the very talented Elisa Roth, Sr. VP Drama Programming, Universal Studios Media will be speaking.  Shows Elisa has worked on include but are not limited to HOUSE, HEROES, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, BATTLESTAR GALLACTICA, VIRTUALITY (currently shooting for FOX), KINGS, KNIGHTRIDER, ROBIN CRUSOE, THE PHILANTHROPIST and MY OWN WORST ENEMY.

On the Feature side, I feel very privileged to have Gaylyn Fraiche, VP, Martin Chase Productions, as a speaker.  Gaylyn has worked on numerous features including: THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS 2, THE CHEETAH GIRLS ONE WORLD, THE GREEN MILE, BEST IN SHOW, MISS CONGENIALITY, PROOF OF LIFE, THE RIVER WILD, L.A. CONFIDENTIAL, and STRANGE DAYS.

Please forward this e-mail to anyone who you feel would benefit from this event.
