Since there will be no Friday Night Drinks in July because of the holiday, I wanted to tell you about another great event that is well worth attending. It is called White Light, White Night. It is a charity event benefiting Cancer.
On June 28th, Walk with Sally, the nonprofit organization, will be hosting their annual fundraising gala, White Light, White Night at Raleigh Studios in Manhattan Beach on the New York Street backlot. The evening is being co-sponsored by BMW and Equinox and will draw guests from the fashion and entertainment industries as well as professional athletes. In addition to a live performance by indie performer, Shotgun Honeymoon, there will be New York inspired appetizers, cocktails, wine tasting, street performers, live auction and raffle items including a chance to will a new white convertible BMW and a year's membership at the Equinox Gym.
The mission of Walk with Sally is to provide mentoring and support services to children debilitated by the emotional experience of living with or losing a parent or sibling to cancer. The single most important priority is to create a meaningful friendship between a child coping with the parent or sibling's cancer and an adult that experienced the same suffering as a child.
