Hello,

This will be my first newsletter to agents and managers regarding my clients who are seeking representation.

As many of you know, I started my own company at www. jengrisanticonsultancy.com.  I designed my business to address the need of  cultivating the material of writers and directors.   As a studio executive for 11 years at Spelling Television Inc. and CBS/Paramount, I gave notes everyday on top primetime shows and I saw these notes made on a weekly basis.  I also helped staff over 15 top shows.  It was an incredible learning tool.  Now, I am taking the experience I had with many incredible mentors, starting with Aaron Spelling, and I am bringing it to writers and directors as a way to get their material in the best place possible to get them the job.  Since I launched on January 8, 2008, I have signed 29 clients.

The difference between this service and being a manager is that my clients pay up front for the service and I do not take 10%.  Essentially, it is the step before taking a manager for most of them.  Many clients have said that this process motivates them to write because of the pay structure.

My goal is to work with writers and directors to get their material in the strongest place possible so that they can have a better chance at selling their pilot, getting staffed and getting their film produced.  Also, if they do not have an agent or manager, once their material is in a strong enough place, I offer them the agent/manager service.  With this service, I will be sending out this newsletter to you letting you know what clients I currently have who need representation.

CLIENTS SEEKING REPRESENTATION
1)  DANIEL H. FRIEDMAN - WRITER/DIRECTOR/ACTOR

Script - "The Second Coming of Lucas Brokaw" (feature)

Brief - Lucas Brokaw, a billionaire-widower with terminal cancer discovers irrefutable evidence of his own reincarnation and on a whim, changes his will and leaves everything to himself....reincarnated!  Thirty years later two men lay claim to the fortune.  Is it possible that one of them is telling the truth?  Will Lucas Brokaw be reunited through reincarnation with his long lost soulmate?

Short Bio - Danny majored in Film at UCSB.  He wrote, produced, directed and acted in a his Senior Film which made it to the final five of the Motion Picture's Student Academy Awards.  Danny has since worked in film editing and assistant directing.  It is through his experience in editing that he has learned so much about writing.  Danny has worked with top names including Chris Rouse, Andrew David, Jonathan Lawton, Jeb Stuart, John Wells, Dennis Virkler and Arthur Schmidt.

Recommendation - I recommend Danny because I think his writing shows very strong potential.  I love the suspense, the romance, the visuals and the characters in this script.  Parts of it reminded me of "Ghost" with the idea of being reunited with a loved one through reincarnation.

2)  YVES STENING - DIRECTOR/WRITER/ACTOR

Short Bio - Yves is from Australia.  He has a long and diverse history in the film, television, and theatre industries.  Through his production company Y-Film Productions , he has directed and produced award winning short films and many television commercial campaigns.  Yves is a graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School, Australia's National Film School, the National Institute of Dramatic Art, Australia, and Australia's national theatre academy.  Yves directing is characterized by beautiful photography and exceptional performances.  His background as an actor gives him a unique insight into the needs of actors, guding them to deliver powerful performances.

Recommendation - I believe Yves is a true talent.  All the scenes on his reel are not only absolutely beautiful but incredibly intimate.  His visual style and strong performances really stand out and set him apart.  You can see his reel on his website at www.y-filmproductions.com.

3)  JOHN LOGSDON - DIRECTOR

Short Bio - John Logsdon is a multifaceted filmmaker that has directed and produced documentaries, music videos, commercials and live-concerts.  Fresh out of college, John was hired as an editor and videographer at Atlantic Records where he created over 50 different projects for television, DVD and web based promotions.  He left Atlantic to pursue his passion of directing and has since helmed music videos and live concerts for such acts as Def Leppard, A Perfect Circle, Dertones, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and many others.  His commercial credits include Pepsi, Hard Rock Hotels, Guess and The North Face.  He is also the director and producer of over twenty episodes of MTV's "Makes The Video".  CBS/Paramount appointed John to direct and produce a two-hour doucumentary on STAR TREK'S 40th Anniversary titled "Beyond the Final Frontier" as well as a one hour documentary titled "Star Trek Tech".  Today, John is the owner of Blind Vision Films, a production company based out of Los Angeles.  Last year alone the company completed over fifty different projects, ranging from new media and web based content to documentaries and music videos.

Recommendation -  I think that John is an incredible talent.  He has a very strong visual style evident in his music videos and commercials and his documentaries are very compelling.  I think the fact that he's done so many different arenas at such a young age is fantastic.  Between his talent and his wide range of knowledge, he is someone to keep an eye on.  You can read more about him and see his reel at www.blindvisionfilms.com.

4)  RICHARD GOLDGEWICHT - DIRECTOR

Richard is currently working on a project called "Pablo".  "Pablo", the biopic on Pablo Ferro blends character animation and documentary footage to tell the unconventional story of the graphic design legend from his early geginnings in Cuba, his strong presence in the 1960's underground culture in New York, his influence on the New Hollyood filmmakers of the seventies all the way through his present day life between lifetime achievement awards and a small garage house in the Valley.

Narrated by Jeff Bridges, the film blends real life and fairy tale in a humane and fantastic portrait of a disarming artist, who made a name for himself in the inconspicuous metier of film titles.

NEEDS - The filmmakers are looking to collaborate with a comedy writer who can enhance the comedy of errors elements and the emotional payoff of the current script.  For more information on this film, please refer to the article on: www.underconsideration.com/speakup/archives/004452.
