Hello,
This is the first newsletter for Jen Grisanti Consultancy. I will be doing them every month. If you have something that you feel is appropriate for me to promote in this forum, please contact me.
My first month as a Consultant has been incredible. I appreciate the strong response. I have 13 new clients and it is continuing to grow. There seems to be a strong niche out there for this type of service. Cultivating the material of writers and directors is crucial to the creative process. It is worth the investment to know that your script or reel is in the best place it can be.
A common question asked this month is what is the difference between a consultant and a manager? The difference is that as a consultant, I can reach as many people as my schedule allows. My focus is on cultivating the material of writers and directors. You pay for the service. I do not take 10%. Another difference is that I am not limited to only helping you to elevate your material if you're good enough to be in my company. If you buy a service, I will help you get your material where it needs to be. As a studio executive for over 11 years, I gave notes everyday all day on top primetime shows. This service is taking that knowledge and experience and using it to help the writer and director to improve their material so that they have the best opportunity to get the job.
My clients include a very wide range of people. From the film student, to new television writers to mid level writers who are writing pilots, to the upper level writer/director who is redefining their career to the new feature writer who is looking for the first big break to the produced feature writer who needed a sounding board for his next big film. The fact there there is such a wide range makes this process very rewarding.
If you feel that you want to take the next step in your career by elevating your material, please take a look at my website at www.jengrisanticonsultancy.com and let me know how I can help you get where you want to be.
PROMOTIONS
I am very excited to promote a new idea that I think will tremendously benefit entertainment people. My friend, Chad Gervich, came up with an idea of having the trades read to you. You can download them on your ipod and listen to them on the way to work. It is brilliant!
BLURB: "Mediabistro.com's Morning Call Time is a daily audio podcast that aggregates the top industry headlines from each morning's trades: Variety, The Reporter, Broadcasting & Cable, etc. Which means you no longer have to wait till you get to the office to read your trades. Morning Call Time can be streamed, downloaded, or thrown on your iPod, so you can listen while you're in the car, at the gym, or shopping for groceries. Anywhere! It's like having your trades read to you, whenever and wherever you want. Download and subscribe to mediabistro.com's Morning Call Time on iTunes (IT'S FREE!), or stream it at mediabistro's FishbowlLA!" And here are the HTML links so you can link to the podcast: ON ITUNES: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=263727007RSS FEED: http://mediabistro.com/fishbowlla/podcasts/rss/
