Your 6th and 7th Grade Teachers
Pat Hettle- "The Strong Silent Type."
Rachelle Rodman--This is my first year as a Youth Minister at the Tri-Community. I will be working with the 7th & 8th grade classes. Being in the field of Social Work for fourteen years I have worked with many youth and families. I truly believe it takes a community to raise a child and I hope this year's program enriches all of our lives.
John Keller--I have been working with Youth Ministry for four years now. This year I'm part of the 6th and 7th grade class Dream Team with Pat and Rachelle. Our class has already met several times and I have to say it's one of the best groups ever! As always, I get back much more than I give in Youth Ministry.

Your 8th Grade Teachers
Shannon Vall --This is my first year teaching with the Tri-Community Youth Ministry. I am teaching the 8th grade class and have two children in Youth Ministry- Sarah (8th grade) and Jonathan (Hydrate). I am very excited to be teaching these young people about the Catholic Church and about the God who LOVES them.
Michelle McNamara-I am a returning Youth Minister (2nd yr.) and am looking forward to working with the 8th grade class. I really enjoy watching our youth grow in faith. |
Your Confirmation 1 Teachers
Sharon Marron -- This is my tenth year to be involved in Youth Ministry at the Tri-Community. This year as in many years past - I will be working with the Confirmation group. New for me this year; I will also be teaching RCIA. I am blessed, humbled and honored to faith journey with the youth of the Tri-Community.
Jarda Somers - This is my fifth year as a Youth Minister with the Tri-Community and I'll be teaching Confirmation I with Sharon Marron and Jack Evans! My husband and I have been members of Sacred Heart since 1993, we've been married 16 years and we have 2 boys. Our oldest is currently in Boot Camp with the US Marine Corp, our youngest is a Freshman and is currently in my Confirmation I Class! I'm told this is about me teaching our faith to the youth of our Tri-Community.. Funny how much they seem to teach me!
Jack Evans- I was raised a nominal Baptist, but came to Sacred Heart back in 2002 and was formally brought into the Church at the Easter Vigil in 2004. Tina asked me if I could help out with Confirmation three years ago, and I have been committed since. Larry Smith told me that you don't really own your faith until you give it away, and that is what I have been trying to do for the last three years. The kids are a great inspiration and demonstrate how their faith and life intersect at this crucial time of their lives. That combined with the great adults we have on the team really help demonstrate what it means to live out this great faith in our everyday lives. It has been a great experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone who thinks they might have something to share.

Your Confirmation 2 Teachers
Jim Zendejas--"The Strong Silent Type"
Karen Valdez--I have been with the Tri Community Youth Ministry program for about ten years or so. I have primarily taught the high school confirmation I & II, have worked with the the Peer council, traveled to Canada and Germany to the World Youth Day events. Being involved with the youth ministry program has allowed me to continue my personal faith journey. It is always an honor to "walk" with our youth as they are beginning to quench their thirst for the holy spirit. Where their journey will take them is the fun of "tagging" along and helping them along the way.
Mark Plush -- This will be my third year working with the Youth in the Tri-Community Youth Ministry Program. This year I will be helping those who are now in there second year of preparation for Confirmation.
