Proposed Shooting Range MapDNR reconveys 156 acres to Snohomish County

The State Department of Natural Resources Board of Commissioners voted 6-0 on Dec. 7 to transfer a 156-acre area off Sultan Basin Road to Snohomish County for "public park use." Snohomish County Parks and Recreation plans to construct a public outdoor shooting range on the property.

Dianne Bailey - 20 service awardPark Property Administrator Dianne Bailey honored for 20 years of service to Snohomish County

Dianne Bailey was recently honored for completing 20 years of service to Snohomish County. Dianne began her property management career with the Chelan County Assessor's office in 1984 and joined Snohomish County Parks in 1991. She attended Southern Oregon College, is a licensed appraiser and a senior member of the International Right of Way Association and has received Snohomish County's Employee of the Month award. Dianne enjoys horseback riding, camping, and traveling. She lives near the town of Snohomish and is the proud keeper of two horses, two dogs, two cats and a husband.

 

Construction update on the Evergreen Fairgrounds' new Event Center Building ConceptEvent Center

Bid opening for construction of the new 38,916 square foot event center located at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds was held Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2010.

 

Seven prime contractors submitted bids for the project. Council is sxpected to award the bid to the successful bidder in January 2011.
