Park Rangers Miranda and Swanson graduate from Skagit Valley Law Enforcement Academy Ranger Law Enforcement Graduation
 
Erika Miranda and Regis Swanson completed more than 700 hours of intensive training in 15 weeks  at the Skagit Valley Law Enforcement Academy April 17th. They are now working as fully commissioned park rangers. Regis works out of the Flowing Lake Park office and Erika works out of the River Meadows Park office.

McCollum Park Frogs Swim Team 
Snohomish County Parks and Recreation announces the FROGS 2008 season program, a CRAZE Summer Swim League member. 
 
The season begins on Monday, June 23rd, and concludes with the championship meet on Saturday, Aug 16th. 
 
Parents information meeting is Tuesday, May 29th, 6-7 p.m. at the Willis Tucker Park Administration Building, 6705 Puget Park Drive. For more information visit www.snocoparks.org.

Demolition Derby & Fireworks at Evergreen Speedway
It's that time of year again, time to get out the BBQ's, dust off the baseball equipment and bring the whole family down to the Evergreen Speedway for the annual Memorial Day weekend Demolition Derby and Fireworks Show, along with Monster Trucks, School Bus Figure 8's, Roll Over Contests, Hornets and Boat Races!  For more information visit www.evergreenspeedway.com.
 
Get Movin' LogoKids, Get Movin' This Summer 
Kids, plan to join this summer's Get Movin' activity program. Get Movin' is a collaboration with several area Parks Departments as well as two area hospitals to encourage kids to keep moving all summer. By partnering with area businesses, participants are provided free recreational activities all summer long! The program culminates with a free ticket to a minor-league baseball game. 35th Annual Swap Meet at Evergreen Fairgrounds
 
Whether you are looking for a whole vehicle, parts of a vehicle or vehicle-related memorabilia, this is the place where you can find it all.  Admission is Free ~ Parking is $6 per vehicle. Check out the 35th annual Auto Swap Meet at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 17th from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Sunday, May 18th from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  For more information call 800-645-4997.
