 | Top Academic Champions of the Class of 2012 |
Dear WA Community, As I have shared on numerous occasions during my time at WA, I am constantly impressed by our students. They humble me, they bless me and they make me smile and laugh because they are the miracles of WA. Please join me in praising God, as we celebrate His divine work with our high school academic champions. I would also like to thank our faculty, staff, coaches and volunteers, for their love and Christ-honoring Kingdom work with these students. I am also constantly impressed and humbled by their grace-filled love and patience with our students. Their scholarly and Biblical teaching along with their Christ-honoring witness, makes a significant difference in the lives of our students everyday. One of the great miracles that I get to witness is how God uses WA to encourage and inspire His children to be all that He created them to be with their intellectual gifts. Please join me in congratulating our Class of 2012 Academic Champions at WA. We are extremely proud of them and blessed by their exceptional intellectual achievements. Kudos to each of them. One of the great blessings that I experience every day at WA is to be surrounded by exceptional people of God. We are truly blessed by an army of witnesses who love to teach and disciple children in Jesus Christ and God's Truth. At our annual National Honor Society Induction Dinner Ceremony on Monday, April 16, I was once again, extremely impressed by how God has used the WA faculty, staff, coaches, volunteers and parents to impact our students and shape their character in Christ. During the program, I was deeply humbled and blessed by the NHS students' remarkable service to others, this school year. As usual, Guy Metzger organized and led a first-class program from the introduction to the candle light finale. The National Honor Society program at WA, under the Christ-centered leadership of Mr. Metzger, is one of the best I have ever seen or experienced as a Christian educator. I was extremely impressed with our students and their outstanding grace-driven volunteerism, throughout the school year. Please join us in thanking Guy Metzger and our NHS students for another extraordinary year of service to others. Well done, and kudos to each and every one of them. Please join us in congratulating and praying for our new NHS student inductees, and our current student members. Blessings to you and your family in the Name of Jesus Christ,

Leo Orsino Headmaster orsinol@wacad.edu

MDA is the nation's leading voluntary health agency sponsoring ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) research and life-enhancing services for those affected by this disorder. The teamwork of students from grades 6-12 raised $2,252.00 through bake sales-the highest amount raised this year, out of 56 schools that participated. We are blessed to have been a part of the MDA theme: "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work - One Team One Dream!"

May 29-June 29, 2012 Summer School
Summer School is open to all students entering grades 9-12, in the fall of 2012. A remedial math course is also available for grades 6-12. Please view here, a complete listing of courses and additional information. This is a great way for students to focus on one subject at a time, make room in their schedules for extra electives, or have a free-period during the school year, for those involved in many extra curricular activities. If a student would like to go on the CRPC missions trip to the Bahamas during the first week of June, enrollment in Summer School is still an option. They can participate in both the missions trip and Summer School, however, they will need to make up the work they missed while on the missions trip in the Bahamas.
