 Dear WA Community,
We recently produced a video that highlights the many blessings that we enjoy at WA. For forty-one years, God has used WA to save souls, educate minds and shape Christian character for His glory. We are truly blessed by how God uses WA's faculty, staff, coaches and volunteers to disciple and equip our students in Jesus Christ and God's Truth. This unwavering devotion to Christ and steadfast dedication to excellence is reflected in a special video about WA.

2012-2013 Re-Enrollment
We are looking forward to our 42nd year of providing a Christ-centered, biblically-based, college preparatory school for our community! Please know that you should have received the 2012-2013 Re-Enrollment Package in an email and also in the mail.
Please also know that we do have financial assistance available for families who need some help in paying tuition. Families must apply and qualify for financial assistance. A special thank you to our donors for providing this funding.

Snow Fun for Everyone!
Our lower school students had great fun on "Snow Day." Although it was not January 19, 1977, (when Winter paid a visit to South Florida) our kids enjoyed sledding on our "imported' snow on January 19, 2012. Students had a wonderful time enjoying the snow and gorgeous blue sky!

EXPLORE Test
WA has been approved by College Board to serve as a Duke TIP Elementary Student Talent Search test site for the EXPLORE test. This test is offered during a DUKE TIP scholar's 5th and 6th grade school year. The Lower School recognizes our DUKE TIP scholars beginning at the end of the student's 4th grade school year, based upon the eligibility requirements of the program. At this time, only current 5th and 6th grade DUKE TIP scholars who have been previously identified during the 2010-2011 school year, are eligible to apply for the EXPLORE test. Please know that individual emails were sent out in December to these DUKE TIP scholars and their families to inform them of this opportunity.
To register for the February EXPLORE test date, please visit the Duke TIP website at www.apply.tip.duke.edu. While the deadline for on-lime registration was December 19, there are still additional slots available, and applications are still being accepted. We will be offering this test at WA on Saturday, February 18, 2012.

Planning for College Tuition
Jeffery Masters, President of Jeffery W. Masters & Associates of Fort Lauderdale, joins Laura Bishop as they discuss financial planning for college. Jeffery faithfully serves--teaching and counseling in the areas of Christian financial management and is a financial planner by trade. Jeff is also a WA parent and serves on the WA School Board. He holds a Masters Degree in Administration and is certified with Crown and Kingdom Advisors.

Our middle school students theme on Thursday, January 26, will be Honolulu. On Friday January 27, 6th grade will dress in red, 7th grade in white, and 8th grade in blue.No School Lunch on January, 25.
