Dear WA Community,
Below, please see a letter that we recently mailed to your home. Since some would rather have a copy e-mailed to them, I am including it as my weekly E-News letter. Your steadfast prayers and gracious support is deeply appreciated at Westminster Academy.
Dear WA Community,
Westminster Academy continues to be an extraordinary school ministry blessed by remarkable professionals and exceptional students. We are also blessed by a Gospel-filled legacy. For forty-one years, God has used WA in a mighty way as an instrument of the Holy Spirit to save souls, transform minds, change lives and prepare scholars for college and life. With all of our blessings and a remarkable legacy, we also have some ongoing challenges.
The stewardship of God's people and His provisions are our two primary challenges. As a Christ-centered, biblically-based, grace-filled, Gospel-focused, child-caring, excellence-driven, classical, covenant, comprehensive college preparatory school, we have been called by God to serve Him and shepherd His people as stewards of all that He has entrusted into our care.
How do we respond to these stewardship challenges and turn them into opportunities to bring glory to God? By prayerfully partnering together in God's Truth as brothers and sisters in Christ and as stewards of God's people, school ministry and resources at Westminster Academy.
Everyone can be a partner with Westminster Academy. Our school and alumni community can make a commitment to pray for our students and school ministry daily. We need and appreciate your daily prayers-they are vital as we immerse our students in God's Truth and inspire them to excel by using their gifts and talents for His glory.
Please make a commitment today to pray for the students and school community. Please prayerfully consider making a commitment to give a donation to WA. Every gift, no matter the size, will help WA move forward as a school ministry. Your gift is greatly appreciated and tax deductible. An end-of-year gift is a great way to support WA.
We recognize that some of our families may not be in a position to give financial gifts, however, even $1 a day per student would make a difference. Please look at what $1 a day per student would do for the children of WA:
One dollar per day leads to $30 per month, which leads to $360 per student, multiplied by 900 students, equals $324,000! This is one-third of our gap between tuition and fees and what it actually costs to operate a school of excellence. Three dollars per day per child is close to $1,000,000!
Please know that we are extremely grateful to all those who currently partner with us as prayer warriors. We are also grateful for all those who are in a position to give of their time, gifts and talents. From baking cookies and reading with our students, to sharing your expertise and financial gifts, we need and value your helping hands and donations. We could not do what we do at WA without your prayers, talents and gifts.
Given that we did not increase tuition for this school year, we would like to encourage everyone to consider a special year-end donation to Westminster Academy. Please know that your donation, even a small gift, can be used by God in a big way for the education of His children and to further His Kingdom work at WA. Donations to Westminster Academy are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. Your prayers, volunteerism and financial gifts, make a significant difference in the lives of our students and school ministry.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to meet with me to discuss anything about WA. Your ongoing prayers and commitment are a blessing to our students and school ministry.
Blessings to you and your family in the Name of Jesus Christ, Leo Orsino Headmaster orsinol@wacad.edu |

Parking Lot Traffic Control
In a continuing effort to keep traffic flowing well, we are placing a staff person at the 55th street entrance to the church to control the flow of traffic coming from the east parking lot of the church. Along with that, we will re-paint the line which is a sign to stop, as well as paint in a stop or yield sign on the pavement.
A staff person will also be at the drop-off area to help control pedestrian and vehicular traffic, as well as at the exit area to encourage traffic to exit. We appreciate your assistance with our campus traffic concerns.

Dennis Rainey and Joe Townsend on "Homeroom" There's a piece of every man's heart that longs to be courageous. Dennis Rainey is the President and CEO of FamilyLife, a subsidiary of Campus Crusade for Christ. Dennis has authored or co-authored more than two dozen books and shares with Laura Bishop his thoughts from his new book "Stepping Up: A Call to Courageous Manhood."
Dennis discusses how we have lowered our expectations for teenagers and what adjustments can be made so that we can reverse this trend and help young men grow toward responsible and respectable manhood. Also joining Laura is Joe Townsend, a pilot from Delray Beach and author of the book "Soul Survivor." Joe lost his wife and children in a 1996 plane crash and found that only a relationship with God can lift his wings through the challenges of life. Joe will be sharing his uplifting story at WA chapel on December 7, from 10:35 AM-11:05 AM. The public is welcome to attend!
"Homeroom" can be heard every Thursday evening from 9-10 PM on GRACE FM 90.3 FM or on www.gracefmradio.com.
