Westminster Academy | Devoted to Christ - Dedicated to Excellence

Dr. Leo Orsino HeadshotDear WA Community,

A special thank you goes to Jen Casey '92, Elizabeth Taylor, Kaitlin Masterson '06 and our cheerleaders for their wonderful performances and their contagious school spirit. I would also like to thank the student members of our 2011 Homecoming Court, athletic and facilities offices, development/ communications office, IT office, and the booster club, as well as all of the students, employee and parent volunteers for their support and their remarkable Kingdom work during Homecoming 2011. I would also like to thank all of the alumni who participated in the Homecoming activities last week. It was a memorable Christ-honoring Homecoming week and weekend. It also was great fun to be a WA Lion last week (actually, it is always fun to be a WA Lion).

Please continue to saturate every person and program in prayer through Jesus Christ at Westminster Academy. As you know, we can never pray enough. One of the many wonderful blessings we experience as devoted disciples of Jesus Christ, is an immediate and intimate connection to God when we pray.

Whenever we call upon God through Christ, He is ready to hear our prayers. When we call upon God, we never get a busy signal or an answering machine. God picks up our call before the phone rings. When we pray and fellowship with Jesus, we connect and fellowship with God. The more time we spend in prayer and fellowship with Jesus, the more we will be prepared and protected by God to carry out His Kingdom work at WA.

If you are like me, I have a lot of favorite Bible verses. One of my favorite Bible verses is from the book of John. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Could God be any clearer about Jesus? Could Jesus be any clearer about Himself?

At Westminster Academy, our confidence and conviction in Jesus Christ is conspicuous and contagious in all areas of our school ministry. Our unwavering devotion to Christ and our ongoing dedication to excellence can be found from preschool through 12th grade. Our commitment to inspire all of our students to be champions for Jesus Christ and leaders for excellence will continue to be a primary focus. We eagerly strive to bring glory to God with everything we say and do at WA.

Praise God for Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and the Author and Perfecter of our faith. May God's love, grace and Truth through Jesus Christ continue to bless, guide and encourage everyone at Westminster Academy.

Blessings to you and your family in the Name of Jesus Christ,
