Westminster Academy | Devoted to Christ - Dedicated to Excellence

Dr. Leo Orsino HeadshotGreetings!

Where do you want to be on Tuesday, September 27? If you said, "Westminster Academy's Fine Arts Benefit Concert at 7:00 PM in the CRPC sanctuary" you would be saying "yes" to the best show you will see in South Florida this fall. Better than any movie or dinner party, the Fine Arts Benefit Concert promises to be fun and entertaining for the whole family. It is free, and it is fantastic!

You will be extremely impressed with our fine arts program and our student-performers at WA. I highly encourage you to make an extra effort to attend this special program that will give you a small but very unique glimpse into our fine arts program. We are blessed with some of the best talent in South Florida and they will be performing Tuesday night, September 27.

Even if you are a lower school family, you will want to see what is ahead for your child in our fine arts program. I promise you, it will be an evening that will leave you wanting more. The good news is that we have a lot of fine arts programs planned for this school year.

Prayer Is Needed
Please pray for for Luis, one of our security team members.  Luis continues to be treated for cancer through radiation treatment; it is a difficult road for him, but he is hopeful. He absolutely loved the gigantic card that our students gave him! He has shared that he enjoys coming to WA so much because the interaction with our school community brings him great joy and hope. Luis has mentioned how much it helps him when our community is upbeat and encouraging to him! Please know that he still can't eat (he is given special drinks), so meals and other goodies aren't able to be enjoyed. Luis is able to carry out the operational side of security, but we also have extra coverage to ensure the safety of everyone.

Thank you for your prayers and your sensitivity for Luis, his wife and four children. May God bring complete healing and comfort to Luis and his family.

Join Knox Seminary On a Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
Holy Land
Would you like to walk in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ? Westminster Academy students and families are invited to join Knox Theological Seminary on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

This two-week educational, worship-filled trip (March 3-17) sponsored by Knox Theological Seminary, will be led by Dr. Warren Gage (professor of Old Testament Studies at Knox) and Mr. Sam Kastensmidt (Westminster Academy Bible teacher). Our own Mrs. Betty Gage will also be leading the tour. The experience promises to forever change the way your child reads and understands the Scriptures.

The trip will encompass Spring Break, so students will miss only four days of class. Come and stand in the ancient stables of Bethlehem; sail the Sea of Galilee; wade into the waters of the Jordan River; follow in the footsteps of Jesus from the Garden of Gethsemane to Golgotha and so much more!

To download an informational brochure, please click here.

If you would like more information regarding this trip, please e-mail Mr. Sam Kastensmidt (kastensmidts@wacad.edu) or Dr. Warren Gage (wgage@knoxseminary.edu).
