| Dear Friends,
This week I've been doing one of my favorite community service projects: driving professional golfers around New Orleans. It involves me picking up a new car, driving to airport or hotel then hauling famous and not so famous golfers to and from the Zurich Golf Tournament. Yeah I know, it's a tough job, but someone has to do it.
I have been doing this for about 11 or 12 years and have learned a few things about people in the process. as I said, I've met famous and not so famous golfers. Some of these guys have made names for themselves and could retire with no worries at any time. Others are trying to make their way to the top hoping to make the cut to play the weekend and make a good check. Still others had had some success and were struggling keep their PGA privileges.
Here's what I've learned, the golfers who were the happiest, nicest and seemingly well adjusted were the ones who played their own game. They understood their own strengths and weaknesses and played to their strengths and downplayed their weaknesses.
The Bible talks a lot about each of us having our own gifts. I think teh golfers who are the happiest and nicest are the ones who have found their gift (s) and put them to work. What do you think?
