What is burgeoning in your life?

  wild-cherry blossoms
This is an exciting time of year in our beautiful corner of the world.  Intentions set and promises made during the dark winter are bursting forth, much like the wild cherry blossoms in this photo.  What is burgeoning in your life?  We've made a commitment to nurturing the important people in our lives and enjoying each and every day.  It is a delight to put together gift bags from Quel Fromage, or spend an evening talking over a cheese tray and bottle of wine. We at Quel Fromage thank you for your continued patronage and we hope to help support whatever is burgeoning in your life!

Try Something New

Have you spent any time getting to know the products on our wall shelves at Quel Fromage?  In addition to our wide selection of cheeses we have a carefully selected array of accoutrements.  These flavor packed delights can take food from good to wow!  We continue to carry customer favorites like Red Bell Pepper & Ancho Chili Jam, delicious by the spoonful (really) or on sandwiches.  The chefs at Earth & Vine have come up with some fabulous combinations:  Brie & Prosciutto, Grilled Chicken & Cheddar, Roast Beef & Arugula.  Another fantastic creation combines the surprising Spicy Apple Garlic Jam with chicken and blue cheese for a Chicken & Blue Cheese Quesadilla.

Abbaye de BellocAbbay de Belloc
This traditional monk made Basque cheese is creamy and dense.  It is a more complex cousin of the creamy mild P'tit Basque, reminiscent of Ossau Iraty with nutty caramelized flavors.  Basque cheeses are traditionally paired with cherries which grow in abundance in the French Pyrenees.  Try our Amarena Cherries Jam with Abbaye de Belloc for a classic Basque dessert

Spirits
Beyond Wine & Beer
The days are growing longer and those sweet lingering evenings are returning.  Time to sit, and sip, and delight in the company of friends new and old.  Quel Fromage has more than wine to contribute.  If you haven't discovered QTonic come in and get a bottle, it is a superior product made with handpicked quinine and sweetened with agave.  It mixes better with your favorite spirit.  We also have Crispin hard apple cider from Minnesota.  Serve this cloudy, honey sweetened beverage over ice for a fresh treat.  And from across the Atlantic, the French Aperitif Lillet.  Serve over ice or use as a cocktail base.  (Let us know if you find a good recipe!)
