Summer is so close...
I can taste it. Can you? I taste sun-warmed strawberries, sweaty glasses of gin & tonic, and light, fresh cheeses. This month we have you covered, as always, in the cheese department, and our beloved Q-Tonic water is also in abundance. To keep dad's stomach satisfied on his special day we have spicy and bacon-y chocolates galore and a special Father's Day cheese for that "hearty" palette of his.

While you are putting a star on your calendar for June 20, please add a note for Sunday, June 13 . Here at Quel Fromage we will be holding an open house, 1-4pm, to introduce ourselves more personally as the new owners.

In the Cheese Case
Father's Day Fare

In the spirit of all things (ahem, stereotypically) manly, we have a collaboration of flavors in a new cheese known as Red Dragon: whole grain mustard, Welsh ale, and traditional cheddar. Made by an innovative specialty cheesemaker in the heart of Wales, the cheddar is rich and buttery, balancing out the true-mustard flavor and complimenting the ale. We think Dad will find it difficult to keep this one to himself.

New & Scrumptious
Ricotta

Our new ricotta is so rich and indulgent, we couldn't see it being featured under any other description than "New & Scrumptious". It is buttery yellow and velvety smooth. It is made from Bellwether Farms' Jersey cows milk whey, and the best way to enjoy it is pure and simple. So here you have a perfect and easy dessert or brunch dish, involving a generous scoop of ricotta, a drizzle of honey, and raspberries.

Any fruit you like will do. A showering of cocoa powder...toasted pine nuts... Tangerine Fig Balsamic would work as well! Whatever you do, savor every creamy spoonful.
