New and scrumptious...
Truffle Butter: An extravagance well worth splurging for, the earthy, rich, dark and mysterious flavors will elevate and transform almost everything you eat. Truffles posses a complex, musky flavor which appeal on almost a primitive level, and if you happen to be new to the world of truffles, you'll soon find that resistance is futile. We find it's best enjoyed simply, try some spread on a baguette, or over potatoes, eggs, steamed vegetables... then let your palate be wowed with haunting and heady bliss.
Rossini Blue is the latest "ubriaco" style delicacy to hit the shop. This Lombardian blue has been cured with the must from the passito grape from Pantelleria wine, imparting a light burgundy tint to the rind and a distinct rather piquant taste. Spicy and velvety with a mysterious dark fruit finish that leaves you wanting more, hints of apricot and almond can also be detected in the profile. For all of the headstrong flavors involved, this cheese is unbelievably well balanced living up to its slogan which boasts " a harmonious symphony of flavors". A true symphony of tastes that peaks in a crescendo of marvelous gustatory sensations.
Dearest friends of fromage,it's our birthday! We would like to say thank you for a wonderful year, and invite you to stop by the shop on Friday, December 7th to help us celebrate a full year of livin' on the wedge. We look forward to many more.
Happy Holidays, Rachel & the Quel Fromage crew |
