How To Secrets Revealed...
What many users
may not know is that Bulk Flow Analyst™ is the front-end to our DEM
solver 3DEM Analyst. 3DEM Analyst is capable of many things that
haven't been programmed into BFA. Additionally, we've learned a few
things from other customers that we are sharing with you! Did you know... 1. ...that you can apply harmonic motion to a Boundary or Surface component? 2. ...that there's a quick and easy way to convert a curved surface in AutoCAD into flat triangles, perfect for use with Chute Analyst or BFA? It also allows you to use multi-edged faces with the DXF import method. (Thanks to Todd at Conveyor Engineering!) 3. ...that for certain circumstances, you can change the stiffness of particles to improve stability?
4. ...that you can modify a text file enabling the use multiple materials? As
we continue to develop Bulk Flow Analyst™ some of these capabilities
will be added, but we want you to have the ability now if any of these
capabilities would benefit you. __________________________________________ Conveyor Modeler is an
application designed to rapidly set up a simple transfer station model
for use with our DEM applications. Though it was never our intention
to keep it a secret, it appears that many of our customers have never
heard of or used the application! With Conveyor Modeler, users
are walked through a discharge and receiving conveyor layout, complete
with belt widths and speeds, injection box location and feed rate, and
pulley parameters. From this data, a Chute Analyst™/Bulk Flow Analyst™
project file and AutoCAD drawing can be created. This leaves the
design of the chute and material conditions to the user, putting them
in an excellent position for quickly finishing the project and running
a simulation. For those using Chute Analyst™,
ConveyorModeler_16.exe can be found in the installation directory. A
newer version (ConveyorModeler_17.exe) is available for those using
recent versions of AutoCAD and for Bulk Flow Analyst™ users. You can
download it here.
