Greetings!
I hope that this Newsletter finds you well and happily enjoying this Holiday Season.
It really is winter here. There is more snow than usual for this time of year and I have already been out cross country skiing. I thought that I would never be able to get used to this year's change in season, but suddenly when the world turns white and there are cozy woodstove fires inside, it doesn't seem all that bad. And for me, cross country skiing is almost as much fun as swimming.
For this Newsletter, I have some great photos of the Artists' Studio Tour to share with you, my new Designer Gallery and some new Fused Glass Pendants.
And most important, I want to wish you
Happy Holidays!!

St.Lawrence County Artists' Studio Tour
I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 days participating the the St. Lawrence County Artists' Tour and want to share the lovely creative work my guests made during their visit to my studio. I also want to thank each and every one who came to my studio. You were all so appreciative and supportive of my work. That means a lot to me. Thank You!!
Here is a photo of my ceramic pendant display during the tour.
Here is a photo of some of the lovely ceramic bead glazing my guests did during their visit to my studio. I think they are beautiful, don't you?
Guests were invited to glaze a bisqued bead and I fired them after they left. I have been inspired by the bright colors and creative designs they made. I really enjoyed being able to share in their excitement as they painted them.
On the last day of the tour guests had the opportunity to make a fused glass pendant. Here are some examples of what they made.

Designer Gallery
I have now added a Designer Gallery to my website. I will be featuring work by jewelry designers who have used my handmade pendants, beads or other jewelry components in their own designs. I will also be featuring work by students in my beading classes and handmade ceramic bead making classes.
I am honored to be able to feature the work of Melissa Lee this month in my Designer Gallery and Newsletter. Melissa is a very talented designer who has many literary and whimsical themes in her work. They especially appeal to me since I too was a Lit Major. You can see her work in her new Etsy Store and learn more about her by reading her charming and very interesting blog. Here is a sample of the thought that goes into one of her pieces: ( she wrote this about the necklace pictured above, titled Wood Nymph)
"I was thinking about what a wood nymph might wear for adornment. Instead of jewels, a beautiful leaf, a forest stone, moss. This is my attempt to interpret that image. The leaf focal is by Mary Harding. "
You can see her new piece Midnight Garden in the January issue of BeadStyle Magazine.
I hope you will check out the Designer Gallery and if you make anything with one of my pieces please send me a picture and I will be happy to include your work in the Designer Gallery.
