So Much Knitting and Crocheting And this, the shortest month. If you don't read to the end of the newsletter, you'll miss some great pix . . . Karen's New/re-invented stitch pattern: Swedish Lace is the name Karen has given to a subtle lace pattern inspired by a pattern on gloves Karen found in a Swedish Handwork store in the mid 90's. Karen first developed patterns that were worked in the round for hats, berets, socks and even gloves worked from the top down down with I-cord fingers. All those winter warmers cried out for a scarf, so Karen translated the pattern to be worked flat in rows. From there it was a quick hop to make the scarf reversible. Join us for Karen's class at Knit Michigan. You'll be able to choose from a Ruthlessly Reversible 6 repeat scarf, or a Satisfyingly Symmetrical 7 repeat version that looks great from either side. Click here for Knit Michigan class details.
Patterns for the scarfs and some of the designs will be introduced at Knit Michigan. Additional Swedish lace patterns to follow. (see below)
