The City Knits' name highlights the importance of cities like Detroit & Mt. Clemens, to
the advancement of our fiber community. Wikipedia defines "city" as a
relatively large and permanent settlement where the large concentration of
people greatly facilitates interaction benefiting everyone in the process. At City Knits,we engage and celebrate our fiber community
and our cities, whether
stitching with the Major League Detroit Tigers - at the August 30 Stitch 'n Pitch; knitting with the World Class
DSO - 11 great concerts from the DSO's upcoming season; partying at city
festivals or bringing knitting joy and
winter warmth to Detroit public school students. A city provides the context for all of these enriching activities. And for those who
celebrated Stars & Stripes and City
Fest with us and earned coupons, be sure to come in during August and redeem
them. Hope your Summer In the City, or
wherever your knitting journey takes you, is all you have hoped for.
