New Pattern Stitch Premiers
Interweave Knits Winter issue is due out at the end of November and includes Karen's cool new stitch in a fun earflap helmet. We're bringing in Sheepshop's soft and luscious two ply wool yarn that Karen used for the hat in the magazine. You'll want to knit at least one. |

Alaskan Moose Bone Treasures.
A very special find from Karen's recent trip to Alaska: Hand carved moose bone crochet hooks and shawl sticks. The artist's family brings him bones from the moose the family harvests for subsistence. He boils the bones twice, carves them into one of a kind crochet hooks and stick pins. Finely polished, these objects glow like fine ivory. Karen hand selected the very best for your crocheting and wearing pleasure. |
Knitters' Design Lab with Karen
Karen is finally back from gathering ideas in Norway, Sweden and Alaska. She is eager to share them with intermediate knitters on Wednesdays at the Fisher Building 6-8 pm. This class is basically a design lab for accomplished knitters who want to try the next new thing. Toe up socks, the new helmet hat, cabled intarsia in a great handbag, Kristine's cape Revisited and the cable-point cardigan are some of the options that adventurous knitters can tackle with Karen. |
