City Knits & Transportation Riders United
Dear Fellow Fiber Friends,

Before I opened City Knits, I worked full time for 5 years advocating for better transit to improve mobility and access in Greater Detroit through the organization Transportation Riders United, which my son, Stephen, and I cofounded in 1999.  I continue to work for better transit, because I believe transit, including rail, is the best thing to help us reknit this region. Besides, if there were better transit, we all could drive less, and knit and crochet more.

I would like to invite all of you to attend TRU's Annual Meeting on January 28. To achieve transit change, supporters will have to engage in a million conversations.  You can move us closer to realizing this dream by attending on January 28.  Advance RSVP's to mowens@detroittransit.org are always appreciated. If you can't attend, at least drop by our webpage, www.detroittransit.org

If you do not want to receive an occasional email on transit issues, please reply to cityknits@admin.com and I will ensure that no further TRU messages are sent to you. Thanks for understanding my second passion - building a better Detroit.

Hoping to see you at the TRU meeting (with your stitching of course).
