It's Allergy Season Again!!
Lots of kids are coming to school suffering from a runny nose with clear, watery drainage, nasal congestion, sneezing, itchy/red/watery eyes, or cough. They may have acute seasonal allergies (hay fever) which can make it hard to concentrate and perform well at school.
Consult with your pediatrician or pharmacist about an allergy plan as soon as possible. Some kids will do alright with environmental controls, but some may need to take medications (non drowsy type) or eye drops BEFORE they come to school to prevent allergy symptoms and possible sinusitis or asthma.
