SMPTSA Update

San Marin needs YOU to join SMPTSA!

"The PTA truly is a team of parents and teachers united to support the health, safety and academic growth of every child. "

We have Booster groups at San Marin supporting sports, music, drama and art.
SMPTSA acts as the "Academic Boosters" supporting students and teachers in the classroom every day.
Supporting academics is especially important in the midst of continuing cuts to public education.
Both parents and students can still join SMPTSA to support academics at San Marin HS.

Senior student members are eligible for PTSA college scholarships at both the school and state levels and will receive application information via email as soon as it is available.

Join today to show your support for academics at San Marin High School!

Print the form below and bring or mail it in with a check payable to SMPTSA.

Student directories have been distributed to families via students (period 2).

Make Money for the Schools Whenever you Shop for Groceries

Several local grocery stores give back to our schools when you shop.  Keep these offers in mind when you are doing your shopping--

Paradise Foods has given back over $30,000 to the Novato schools in the last year.  They participate in eScrip, and give back 5% whenever you shop using a credit or debit card that is registered with eScrip.

Harvest Market is running two fall promotions for our schools.  They are giving back 100% of all money raised for pumpkin sales to the school of your choice.  Also, for the months of October and November they will donate your reusable bag credit and make a matching donation to School Fuel whenever you take your own bags.

Lucky Supermarket gives back 3% for all purchases if you use your Lucky S.H.A.R.E.S. card when you shop.  If you don't have card, you can get one from Susan Mathews

Safeway participates in eScrip at rates ranging from .5% to 3% depending on your level of spending.  Make sure that you have registered your Safeway club card at www.escrip.com.  This registration must be renewed each fall.

Target now sells groceries and continues to give money back to the schools through its Red Card for all in-store and online purchases.  You can pick up an application at Target.

These are all great ways to help the schools without costing you anything!

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
School Fuel Needs Your Help
  • School Fuel Phone Bank - School Fuel's Annual Campaign begins in November.  Looking for students to work the phone banks. This is a great way to get your service hours and help to raise money for our schools. Our phone banks will be held November 1, 4, 8, 9,10, 15, 16,17 and 18 from 5:30 -8:00pm at the District Office.  We will provide a script and training.  We are asking that people bring their own cell phone to use, but we may have a few to loan if this is an issue.

See Mrs. Cunnie to sign up for this service opportunity!
