VISUAL ART THANKS OASIS POOLS
Greg Albert from Oasis Pools did an outstanding job of grading and putting rock down at the back of the 800 building.
This area had become a quagmire due to rain and mud, and we are now ready to make some benches so that it is more welcoming for students back here.
Many thanks to the Oasis Pools' team and Greg Albert specifically!
What would we do without our parent volunteers?" . . .

DRAMA NEWS
County Supervisor Judy Arnold has asked the Edinburgh cast of San Marin Drama's Charlie Cox Runs With Scissors walk with her float in the NOvato Fourth of July Parade ----- The next day the cast will perform scenes from the play at the County Fair at 5:30 on the Ben and Jerry stage.
This week the Advanced Drama dept is finishing the filming of the project they have been working with the District Attorney's office about the perils of on-line chat and how they can lead to serious consequences. This has been a fascinating experience for drama students because they have learned a whole new skill -- acting in front of a camera. The students have taken this project very seriously. We hope to have the premier of this very powerful public service message at San Marin High School next fall.
Students are getting excited for the trip to Edinburgh. After their great performance at Palo Alto High School on May 22, I am convinced they will make San Marin High School, the town of Novato and Marin County very proud as they perform on a world stage at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. |

WATER POLO
Have you considered trying a sport that takes advantage of our beautiful Fall weather, that doesn't require prior experience, that has a very low-injury rate, provides some of the best cross-training for other sports, and is fun to watch and play? There may be more than one sport that fits that description, but perhaps none compare to Water Polo.
If you can swim a lap across the pool, come and find out more about Summer and Fall Water Polo opportunities including free clinics for beginners. Incoming Freshman and all current students, both boys and girls, are invited.
Informational Meeting: In the San Marin library at 7:30 pm on May 14th. Clinics: June 18th, June 24th, July 14th, and August 3rd, all at 6:30 pm at the Novato High School Pool.
For more information, call Carl Lundgren at 415-652-8878 or Bruce McKay at 415-720-6270. |

An American Idol Comes to Novato!
Check out Blake Lewis, the Beat-Boxing
