 Greetings!Linda

In our home it's tradition to watch a couple of classic movies during the holiday season. The two that are our favs are;  It's a Wonderful Life and Charles Dickens'  A
Christmas Carol.
It's a Wonderful life reminds us of the great impact just ONE life has on generations to come. George Bailey was given a glimpse of his world and what life would look like  without him in it.
One phrase that could be applicable to the effects abortion has on human life came from Clarence the Angel when he said to George Bailey standing in front of Harry's grave, "Your brother, Harry Bailey, fell through the ice and was drown at the age of nine."  George hastily said, "That's a lie! Harry Bailey went to war! He got the Congressional Medal of Honor! He saved the lives of every man on that transport." To which Clarence replied, "Every man on that transport died! Harry wasn't there to save them, because you were not there to save Harry..."
The rippling effect of just one life saved can have a significant impact on generations to come. Just this week we had two women at-risk for abortion change their mind... Only God knows the contribution these two lives will add to society!
A Christmas Carol causes us to consider the most important things in life... people!  It reveals the value of using our resources to improve our world around us and help others in need. Scrooge became a much happier and contented person when he learned that sharing his wealth brought meaning to his own life.
Okay, those are just stories. Yes, but scripture says, "Give away your life; you'll find life given back, but not merely given back-given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity." (Luke 6:38 MSG). And there are many more just like it!
In 2012 I will remember that it spite of hard times, injustice and sin... it is a wonderful life because we have a Saviour, Jesus Christ who made it possible ! I will look for opportunities to give of myself and my resources that God places in my pathway, remembering that I will never go wrong following God's Word. He has staked is reputation on His Word!
Love to you all...    Linda Cozadd

The Eden Clinic MWC

There are some exciting things happening at the Eden Clinic. As you know we've been talking about expanding to MWC for many months now. Well, it's finally coming together and we plan to officially open in February, 2012. Our grand opening celebration will be announced at a later date.

VOLUNTEER TRAINING

We need YOU! A large portion of our services require the help of peer-counselors, mentors and receptionists. You may be saying, "I'd like to help, but I don't know if I can!?"  Well, there's no need to feel ill-equipped!

Everyone who volunteers at the Eden Clinic must complete the training seminar (three sessions)  that will help them to be more competent in counseling and knowledgeable about abortion and its complications.

Training dates are:

Thursdays, February 23, March 1, and 8

Place: Life Church, 6809 E Reno, Midwest City

Time: 6:00pm to 9:30pm  with a break and snack

If you would like to volunteer at  Eden Clinic MWC, please email Linda with your contact info at lcozadd@edenclinic.tv

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS ULTRASOUND INITIATIVE

John McCarthyJohn McCarthy, Grand Knight  and the Knights of Columbus Midwest City Council 4026 has successfully raised half the cost for a 4D ultrasound machine for our Midwest City location. They are in the process of getting the matching funds from Supreme Council.

Through this project John said he's learned a lot about the work of The Eden Clinic, the truth about Planned Parenthood and how hard it can be to raise funds for pro-life work! Thank you John for all the hard work you put into this project. Kudos to John and the MWC Knights of Columbus Council.  We are proud to link arms with our Catholic pro-life friends!

DIRECTOR OF EDEN CLINIC-MWC

Laurel GibbsMeet the newest member on our team, Laurel Gibbs, RN. Laurel is our new Director for The Eden Clinic MWC.  Laurel describes herself as, " I am a proud military wife... I have been married to a wonderful man, Virgil Gibbs for the past 18 years. I have followed him all around the world and have been richly blessed by other cultures, people, and have made wonderful friendships along the way.

I am a mom to two wonderful young men, Alex, 17 yrs. and Austin, 14 yrs. My sons keep me laughing and bless me each and every day. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to raise these fine young men, and I am so very proud to be their mom!"

Welcome Laurel... we are excited to be working with you!

 Annual Life Banquet

LG Todd Lamb

We look for this banquet to be our very best ever!  Why?

Here's why...

~ New Location; easier access, better parking accommodations, more room and great food!

~ Compelling speaker; Oklahoma's own Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb will be giving a short but powerful presentation.

~ Exciting NEW things happening at Eden Clinic; You will learn from the clients' themselves how your support has helped and impacted young women and men in our community.

Don't miss this important event on THURSDAY, MARCH 6, from 6:30-8:00 PM.

You may be getting a call from a table host to attend this event... say YES! If you don't get a call, you are welcome to register for open seating at

Bethel volunteers What PRO-LIFE is all about...

Andy Peck, Assoc. Pastor at BETHEL BAPTIST Church in Norman pulled together a group of 40 volunteers last Sunday for pro-life work in honor of the Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.

Andy called it, Building for Life, Buying for Babies.

The group went to Birth Choice CPC and cleaned, painted, land-scaped, and finished building projects. Then they went shopping for baby items to put together layettes for new mommies of the Eden Clinic. They put together six layettes(some pictured) and that's NOT a small expense! Each one is worth about $150!

Thank you Andy... and thanks goes to the 40 volunteers! What a true example of the meaning of "pro-life." You have no idea just what a blessing you are in the life of a young mother and her precious child! No doubt God smiles and rejoices over you!

Andy Peck has a prayer meeting every Tuesday from noon to 1pm at 1132 McGee where they pray for the community of Norman,  the ministry of pregnancy centers and other prayer requests. You are welcome to come join Andy any Tuesday or submit your prayer request to Andy at   prayer@bbcnorman.com
