There are a lot of exciting things happening at the Eden Clinic, one of which is the opportunity to open a satellite clinic in Midwest City. After meeting with Denise Ditto, Director and Fran Williams, Asst. Director, and with their board approval Healing Hearts Health Clinic located at 312 S Midwest Blvd has graciously offered to share their medical building with the Eden Clinic. Eden Clinic MWC plans to open in January 2012 offering services for women facing unplanned pregnancies.
Healing Hearts has been in operations more than a year and are open two Thursday evenings a month. They have about 160 patients and have given $150,000 worth of free meds to their patients. They are sharing the gospel and ministering to many hurting people- we are honored to share a building with them, and thankful for this wonderful opportunity.
Because of their generosity our expenses will be minimal and our budget only $26,000 a year. We've been connecting with local churches in MWC for financial and volunteer support and have had some good responses. For example, Cornerstone Church has committed to add the Eden Clinic to their missions budget, and are putting together a team of people to do needed work at the clinic. Life Church is also excited to team up with the Eden Clinic and already have plans to help with building renovations as well. The other contacts we've made with pastor's in MWC have all been positive and welcoming. They will consider adding Eden Clinic MWC to their home mission budget.

We are currently taking **applications for a Center Director's part-time paid position at the Eden Clinic MWC. Our preference is a Registered Nurse, Sonographer or someone with a medical background, but we will consider all applications.
Planned Parenthood is the only service provider for women in Midwest City...need I say more? The need for free pregnancy related services for young women facing unplanned pregnancies is great! Please be in prayer for this ministry and the satellite clinic in MWC for God's blessing and direction.

The work at the Eden Clinic is sometimes like riding a roller-coaster. We trust our labor is not in vain, because we trust our God. However, the topic of abortion can be heavy and burdening. Sitting across from a young woman crying her eyes out because she is finally talking about her abortion is heart rending... not knowing if the young woman you spent 3 hours with last week has made a decision about her pregnancy is stressful... unable to contact the 17 year old who, after all the information, support and love you gave her is still considering abortion is unsettling...
Please, pray for the volunteer advocates and staff at the Eden Clinic! We need them. |
