This month we are featuring some of the BEST places to ski or snowboard in the UK & Ireland prior to your winter skiing holidays.

We recommend that you get yourself in shape before your holiday and part of that programme should be some skiing or snowboarding at an indoor venue or artifical slope. Read on to find out where we recommend..

Ski Centre Ski Centre Dublin

We recently visited the ski centre in Dublin and were very impressed with their set up. The ski centre is a truly state of the art training facility and is ideal for beginners right through to advanced skiers and instructors.

All of their instructors are licensed by internationally recognised bodies and from our experience at BASS Chamonix we have seen excellent results coming from the centre both in terms of the instructors who work there, who have developed excellent customer care and communication skills. And from clients who started their skiing there and then came to Chamonix and progressed very quickly with great technique.

So if you are based in Ireland get yourself to the Ski Centre and prepare yourself for this winter.

The Snow Centre The Snow Centre Hemel Hempstead

This is the newest indoor snowdome in the UK and is a fantastically designed facility with great quality snow.

This is the venue for our Parallel Dreams performance days on the 2nd & 3rd of October so if you want to combine top quality coaching with the best quality skiing in the UK then book onto one or both of these performance days. Click here for more info.

Not only is this a great facility with lots of space and really high quality snow but it is also located very close to Luton airport making it very accessible to visitors from all around the UK and Ireland.

Chill FactoreChill Factore Manchester  

This is Manchester's indoor real snow centre. When this centre was opened a couple of years ago it took indoor snow domes to a new level in design which centres like the snow centre in Hemel have followed. The space available is excellent with lots of viewing available both upstairs and at snow level. With the walls depicting alpine scenes this is as close as it gets to being in the alps without actually being there. 

Again this centre is perfectly located just off the M60 motorway north of Manchester. The centre also has a number of shops and places to eat as is designed like an alpine village.
