Volunteers Looking...
|
Many individuals contact SDPAL in search of volunteer opportunities in the performing arts industry. Here are just a few currently looking to plug in...
SPOTLIGHT VOLUNTEERS
Bill D.
I'm very active in the community of HillCrest doing a great deal of volunteer
work at the LGBT Center, Mamas Kitchen, & Being Alive.
I enjoy volunteering, working with people. I'd be interested in learing
more about the volunteer opportunities offered for ticket takers, ushers, and set
design or just about anything behind the scenes. I do wear a awesome computerized prosthetic leg and
life is good although some things I had to learn to do differently. I'm very
active high energy and committed to making a difference some place, somewhere. If i could be of any use, Please do
let me know.
Thank you,
Bill D. 619-692-0792

Natalie H.
I am a student at UCSD and full-time accountant. Originally from San Francisco ,
I moved here three years ago and have yet to become completely acclimated. I
would like to participate in some of the fun volunteering activities that San
Diego has to offer. I am also preparing for graduate school and volunteering
can't hurt. Anyway, I was in many plays in high school and also worked on
lighting, sound and set design. I love painting and arts and crafts and also the
theatre, although I am no longer interested in acting. I would love to
contribute creatively to skits/sets or any other areas of the theatre and
perhaps even help actors improve their skills as well.
Thanks!

Mercedes Schwartz
I am interested in opportunities to work
with a costume design team for any theater productions that are in need of a
motivated seamstress. I studied fine art at California Institute of the Arts,
and am going to school for Apparel design at FIT in New York come January, and
would LOVE to work with any costume designer in the area in need of a helping
hand! I'm sure you are busy, but if you know of any opportunities feel free to
contact me.
Sincerely,
Mercedes Schwartz
