TAKE-AWAY TIP ~
Keep business cards in your car!

Seems simple enough, but how many times have you met someone at a networking event who had run out of business cards or horrors, forgotten them? They might as well go home, business cards are a marketing must especially if the event is for networking. Don't let this happen to you, stash a couple hundred cards in your glove box and you'll never be without them again. (Ladies, go to your closet and put a dozen of your cards in every purse in there. Last minute purse-switching could leave you without cards, too.)
Reduce the "deer caught in headlights" looks
deer in headlights We recently saw the "deer caught in headlights" look when we explained to a client that his new brochure would have a full bleed. That deer look is a common occurance when any of us are working outside our area of expertise. And that's why we count on experts ... to help us maneuver through those unfamiliar, but critical, areas.
So you don't experience that "look" the next time you're visiting the world of graphic designers or printers, watch this newsletter for Headlight Insights.
HEADLIGHT INSIGHTS
Let's start with full bleed, the topic that tripped up our brochure client. Full bleed has nothing to do with red or white corpuscles but it still DOES have something to do with colors. Full bleed is a print term that simply means the colors run to the edge of the page. If your ad, flyers, brochures, or other printed documents are not full bleed, they will leave a border of white around the edges that looks a little amateurish. Sometimes full bleed can cost more, sometimes it doesn't, just ask your printer or graphic designer about the possibility and the potential costs.
Need a delivery company? We love these guys!
Express DeliveryThe next time you need a local delivery, please don't take a chance with a random phone book choice for someone to help you out. Call Express Delivery at 480-967-4744. For several years now, they have been picking up and delivering all types and sizes of pacakges for us - they are wonderful to work with. President Tim Boughton and his staff are the nicest folks you'd ever want to work with. We know that once they've been called our worries are over, they have never let us down. I know they'll treat you the same.
A power-packed day of education and motivation
BOOTCAMP January 21, 2008 we'll all be at the Scottsdale Chaparral Suites for the 4th Annual Women Entrepreneurs' Small Business Boot Camp. This is by far the best deal of the year for any woman business owner to learn, network and celebrate the success of the mighty micro-business.
The best way to meet the most attendees is to purchase an exhibit table. Share it with someone or get one yourself, just do it because these attendees ALWAYS spend lots of time interacting with the exhibitors. Don't have an exhibit or need help putting pizzazz and polish on your current exhibit? Give us a call. We'd be glad to share  our graphics know-how to help you get the most out of your exhibit.
Visit
http://www.womensbusinessbootcamp.com/ to register for the event and get your table reserved before the spaces are all gone. Exhibit space ALWAYS sells out!
Mullins Creative has been a sponsor of this event since its inception four years ago. We'll be there again this year, hope to see you there!
