Green Green Water
Broadcast Premiere in Northern Minnesota on April 7, 2008!

WDSE Logo
Dear Friends of Green Green Water,

We are excited to announce that Green Green Water will have its Broadcast Premiere on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 8pm on WDSE, the Duluth PBS Affiliate. Check out the schedule here.

This location for broadcast is very timely, as Duluth legislator, Senator Yvonne Prettner-Solan and District 08A (Carlton, Pine, and St. Louis Counties) Representative Bill Hilty, just brought forward legislation in the MN Legislature to overturn last year's momentous law that requests Manitoba Hydro to file annual reports on the northern hydro-impacted communities. A request that Manitoba Hydro has still not fulfilled. This law, if followed, creates a public record of what is occurring as a result of Manitoba Hydro's dam system and is basic information that consumers should have in order to make informed decisions regarding their power purchase. Although the U.S. media has missed this story for the most part, you can read a recent CBC article at this link. Our citizens have the right to know the impact of their power consumption. Please ask your legislator in the house and senate to vote "NO" on Senate File 3520 and House File 3879.

Another amazing coincidence in this whole thing is that Minnesota Power has just signed a 250 Megawatt purchase agreement with Manitoba Hydro. We couldn't think of a better place than Duluth to hold the Broadcast Premiere of Green Green Water.

We continue to seek broadcast in other places, so please take a moment and contact your local PBS affiliate and request that they air Green Green Water.

Thank you again for your continued support of Green Green Water! We have some very exciting announcements coming up later this spring and look forward to sharing more soon!
