Dear Friends of The Red
Tail,
2008 is proving to be the biggest year yet
for The Red Tail! Work-in-progress
screenings are being scheduled, a HUGE event
is being planned and our next trip to China
is getting booked!
After a momentous trip to Hong Kong (much of
which we have to keep under wraps for the
next couple months), we discovered that it is
vital to return to China for the final shoot
of the film! In order to do this, we need to
raise $15,000. So we decided to make it
fun, we're throwing a party on March 22,
so save the date! More details on this
exciting event will be coming in the next
couple weeks, but we can disclose that the
name of the event will be Rock The Red
Tail!
In the meantime, we need volunteers for this
event. More details on that below.
Beyond this event, we are also pleased to
announce that a work-in-progress screening of
footage from Hong Kong will be showing at
Macalester College on February 11 as part of
the Labor and Community Film Series. This
session is envisioned by the filmmakers as an
opportunity to share our footage and receive
vital feedback at this early stage from
audience members. We'd love to see you
there!
Thank you again for your continued support
and enthusiasm!
Respectfully,
Dawn Mikkelson, Senior Director/Producer

Volunteer Opportunity . . . And Rock The Red Tail for FREE! |
|
|
|
That's right! FREE!
We need volunteers to help us Rock The Red
Tail on March 22, 2008 from 7-11pm. We
need volunteers to agree to 2 hour shifts,
helping with tickets, drinks, silent auction,
setup, and teardown. Beyond the undying
gratitude from all of us at The Red
Tail and the personal satisfaction that
you are making a difference, we are also
offering free admission to the event for
anyone who volunteers!
So now you're asking yourself, Hey! Where
do I sign up? Just email our goddess of
event planning Sarah Morreim at
sarah@thestoryboard.org and she'll help get
you signed up for a shift!
Let's Rock!
