If you've ever complained about the post office -- rates, service, attitude -- now's your chance to do something about it!
Cheers!
May 21, 2009
Greetings!

One universal target for publishers' complaining is the US Postal Service. Rates are too high, service is poor, etc., etc., etc. It's worse than a bunch of farmers drinking free coffee at the local co-op!

So, here is your chance. Take a moment to complete the Saturation Mailers Coalition survey on top priorities. SMC has worked diligently for years to support saturation mailers. From holding rate increases down to creating ways for our industry to work efficiently with the postal service, SMC is your voice. Tell them your most important priorities, so they know where to place their resources.

Besides, if you don't complete the survey, you don't have the right to whine and complain. And what fun is that?
Complete the SMC Survey; help them help you!

Dear SMC Members:

Help us help you.  We are trying to get data on our membership needs and wants so we can put our time and energies into developing a postal rate and operations advocacy programs that benefits all of our members.  To help us do that, I am asking everyone to spend some time completing the following survey.  We have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to download, print out the survey and fax it to me. My fax number is 612-340-9446.

Your Steering Committee will take your information to develop our advocacy agenda and priorities for the year.  The Postal Service is trying lots of new things and could move forward with major changes to how rates and rules for saturation program mailings are done.  With or without our input, the Postal Service may adopt new incentives, pricing, and operations procedures or requirements that could help or hurt our members.  With your help, we can have information on our industry and let the USPS know what you want and need.

Please take some time to do the survey and give us as much information as possible.  Even if you cannot make the time to answer all of the questions, please answer all you can and help us rank our priorities.
