Postal Service files "Summer Sale" proposal
Cheers!
May 8, 2009
Greetings!
Postal Service files "Summer Sale" proposal

The Postal Service filed its proposal for a 2009 "summer sale" with the PRC on Friday, May 1, 2009.

If you mailed more than one million pieces of Standard mail in a six month period between October 2007 and March 2008 you could be eligible to earn a discount of 30% over your increased mail volumes for summer 2009 over 2008.  (Subject to various adjustments).

Details on the summer sale filing are available at the PRC website.  Here is the connection: http://www.prc.gov/docs/63/63005/Notice%20of%20Price%20Adj.SummerSale.pdf.

I wrote an article about the sale for INK, the monthly magazine of the Association of Free Community Papers.  Although the article is slated towards free paper publishers, it does have a general description of the program that would apply to all SMC members.  In order to get something to all members as soon as possible, I am attaching a copy of the article for your information.
