Greetings!

Support March of Dimes and the Free Paper Industry
March For Babies Ad March of Dimes is the free paper industry's selected national charity. By supporting March of Dimes, free papers are not only supporting a very worthy cause, but also promoting the strength of our industry.

I am writing you today to ask you to run the ads promoting the 2009 March for Babies campaign.

The ad above (see thumbnail) can be downloaded by clicking here. There is both a color and black & white version. Additional sizes of these ads can be accessed at www.paperchainnetwork.net by clicking the March of Dimes link.

The annual spring events will be conducted soon throughout the United States. To find out when the March for Babies is being held in your community visit www.marchforbabies.org.  Click "Find an Event" and then click your state. Every event is listed at this location.

March of Dimes is the leading organization for pregnancy and baby health and its mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing health defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

March of Dimes has requested that members of PaperChain run Public Service Announcements announcing this important activity. Ads should run during the Spring, when space permits in your publication.

Please coordinate your placement of these ads with your local chapter of the March of Dimes event. And please run the ads as often as you can preceding your local march. This will provide the best results for the campaign.

This is also a great opportunity to interact with the community leaders supporting your local walk.

Thank you for your consideration. For each ad you run, please fill out an affidavit (attached to the downloaded ad copy) and return it to Vinnie Grassis, PaperChain March of Dimes Chair, at vgrassia@jcpgroup.com.
Bar Codes In Newspaper Ads Link To Web Content Via Mobile App
MediaPost Logo Canada's National Post newspaper began using two-dimensional (2D) bar codes this week to link newspaper articles to video and other content.

The link from paper to the Web is made possible through a free downloadable mobile app for smartphones from Scanbuy, N.Y. Directions on nationalpost.com point visitors to getscanlife.com. When the camera on the phone takes a picture of the bar code, the application reads the embedded information in the code and triggers a Web browser to open, which searches the Internet for the URL and serves up the page on the phone.

National Post hopes to offer advertisers a print ad service that gives consumers options to discover more information about products and services on the Web, according to Scanbuy CEO Jonathan Bulkeley. He noted that Canwest Publishing is the largest media company in Canada.

Focus on Member Benefits:
Electronic Banking and Credit Card Processing
Member Service Group LogoFor the past several years, AFCP has sponsored a credit card processing benefit to earn the lowest discount rates available for processing credit cards.

This service, provided by Member Service Group, has grown to include electronic checks, debit cards and a full array of electronic banking services.

Member Service Group will be on hand in Myrtle Beach to answer all your questions, or you can obtain more information by clicking here.

Many of our members have found that the discount rates are lower, increasing the amount of money you keep, and the service has been impeccable.

Contact Paul Huntley at Member Service Group at (888) 697-8831 or paulhuntley@membergroup.com for a free analysis of your needs.
Cheers,
