Summer Festivals
Mark your calendars for next weekend, July 17th and 18th for the Mill Creek Festival. For the fourth year in a row we'll be enjoying the summer weather in our Elle Marie booth offering free consultations, updos, and more.
The following weekend, the 23rd-25th you can find us at Aquafest in Lake Stevens. Keep an eye out for our Elle Marie float in the children's parade on Friday night.

Summer Hair Tip
Your hair tends to get drier in the summer months so step up
the deep conditioning treatments with at home or in salon moisture treatments.
Use UV protect as we all know the sun fades your color.
Redken and Pureology both have amazing products for protecting your color from
UV damage and free radicals.
Give your hair a break. Try using less hot tools and try a
braid. Braids are really hot right now and there are several ways to do them.
Side ponytail braid, braid your bangs, pigtail braids, French braids, or two
braids in the front that tie your hair half up (hippie style).

 Could it be? Is that the sun? Is summer FINALLY here? As I observed the gorgeous weather from behind the front desk at our Mill Creek location yesterday, I had a vision. Wouldn't it be great if we could take those entire two walls of windows and slide 'em open to let in a little of that summer breeze? That might be something to consider for our third salon. Third salon? That's right, Elle Marie has two locations now! We just opened on Highway 9, a quarter mile north of Highway 2. With plenty of signage out front, including a giant video screen, you can't miss it! For those of you who have been coming to see us from the Lake Stevens/Snohomish area, we're thrilled to be able to offer hair services for you right in your own backyard. We'd love for you to stop in and check out our new salon, but for a quick taste of what's in store, feel free to take a look at our official press release.
Managing two salons will be a whole new ballgame for us, but we're committed to maintaining our high level of customer service and technical expertise. It all starts with our team, so keeping both salons working as one is our primary goal. And speaking of "ballgame" and "team", read on for more information about where you can find Elle Marie teaming up this summer.

Elle Marie brings style to the baseball diamond We had so much fun performing buzz cuts for charity at Pink at the Park day last August that we decided to take our involvement with the Aquasox to the next level. With a greater presence in the area due to our new salon, as well as a desire to find new team-building opportunities, a partnership with the boys of summer sounded like a great way to get together and enjoy the summer weather. At every home game this summer you'll see Elle Marie featured on the video screen as they announce our make-over contest. You can submit your entry at the information booth. We will select three winners who will receive makeovers, as well as free tickets to their big reveal at the final game on September 2nd. In addition, all fans receive a fan appreciate guide. You'll find our full page ad in the middle of the program on the backside of the team schedule. And finally, mark your calendars for August 29th for another round of buzz cuts at the 2010 Pink at the Park Day. Of course, we've worked hard on your hair and hope you DON'T want to buzz it, but this is for a great cause, the Mary Kay Foundation, so maybe you've got a little ballplayer in your family who would be game for a buzz.
