InfoBrief subscribers,

We apologize for the delay of InfoBrief delivery. We are currently in the middle of re-constructing our website and email system after a technical breakdown. In addition the InfoBrief is being completely re-vamped, so we have held off sending the new version until out computer difficulties have been resolved. We look forward to hearing your feedback on the changes that we?ve made.

The new InfoBrief will now be available in both English and Spanish in order to be accessible to more diverse set of readers. We?ve added a new section that will cover the actions being taken by different U.S. organization on Colombia projects. We hope that sharing knowledge of different U.S. based Colombia actions will help increase communication between groups working for similar causes. Finally, InfoBrief will now come bi-monthly, instead of weekly. We think that a larger but less frequent email will be more effective in communicating the important facts.

Until the repair of the US Office on Colombia?s website is complete, you can access most of the information that we?ve posted by using this temporary address: http://00ddabf.netsolhost.com/index.html.

Stay tuned for three new documents that USOC will be releasing in the coming weeks on the topics of; effects of free trade on women in Colombia, journalism, and the role of church groups in the human rights field.
