Friday is a Minimum Day - School Ends at 11:20am
The final day of school is a Minimum Day and students will be released at 11:20am. The 5th grade students will meet on the blacktop at 10:00am for the "Clap Out" and their loved ones are warmly invited to join this Encinal tradition. At 10:30am there will be a video and concert given by our fifth graders in the large multi.

Enjoy the Summer and Watch for Key Back to School Dates
The Encinal PTO wishes everyone a fun and relaxing summer break. Here are key back to school dates:- The first day of school in the fall will be Tuesday, September 4th.
- Encinal class lists will be posted at 4pm on August 28th (kinder 3pm). Location tba.
- Encinal Back to School Night will be Thursday, September 6th, time tba.

June 30 Deadline for Re-Enrollment for Next School Year from the MPCSD Registrar
 All students in the Menlo Park City School District must Re-Enroll for 2012-2013 by June 30, 2012. Our schools are severely impacted by increased enrollment, so we are requiring parents to confirm their spot for the coming school year by Re-Enrolling by June 30th. If you are not planning to return to the District in the fall, please contact your school office immediately.
The District will contact all families by June 8th with instructions for mandatory online Re-Enrollment of every student who will be attending grades Kindergarten through 8 this fall. Even families that recently registered children for Kindergarten will have to complete the online Re-Enrollment since it involves data verification and required annual legal notices and agreements.
The District will send Re-Enrollment information by email to all families with an email address in the MPCSD database by June 8th. If there is no email address on record for your family, Re-Enrollment instructions will be sent by postal mail.
The District will again be using Infosnap to electronically Re-Enroll students. If Internet access is an issue, a computer will be available at the Registrar's office. Please note that the databases used for PTO and District newsletters are not the same as the MPCSD Registration database. Getting this newsletter does not mean your email is on the Registrar's mailing list.
If you have changed your email address in the past year or if you would like to make sure the correct email address is in the MPCSD Registration database, please email registrar@mpcsd.org and include your name, your child(ren)'s name, school and grade.

For 5th Grade Families: Hillview Orchestra & Band Signups from Richard Vaughan, Music Instructor
Congratulations to the Strings and Band students on a wonderful Spring Concert. Both Encinal and Oak Knoll were fantastic! I hope that all the students' families and friends were as proud as Mrs. Chiet and I were. The students' efforts really paid off and I hope they will all continue net year. Speaking of which... Hillview Band and Orchestra signups are happening now. Every 5th grade students should have received a Hillview Music Department enrollment form and FAQ this week. Please turn in the form no later than Wednesday or students may not be scheduled into class. If you need another form, please click here.
