Cultural Arts Day promises to be an awesome day. World class youth dancers with positive reviews from the Village Voice. Our own Ugandan musical diva. Awesome Indian and African food. Older kids preparing folk tales and necklaces for the younger kids. Crafts, games, drumming and language. Inspiring stories of resourcefulness and perseverance.

  

We have an amazing experience planned for the kids and we think the parent volunteers will really enjoy being part of this special day. Thank you very much to the parents who have already signed up!

But we are critically short of volunteers to lead their child's class during the special day.  If we can't fill those slots, activities will have to be scaled back for those classes without volunteers.  That will make for a challenging day for those teachers and a lesser day for those kids.  

Please let your HRP know asap if you can help for the whole day or a portion of the day. Help is needed for these classes below. Contact your HRP to help. Some HRPs have not yet forwarded us the names of their class volunteers, so if you volunteered and don't see it reflected below please don't be concerned. You might want to check back with your HRP.

If you volunteered to help your child's class with Cultural Arts Day on Monday, Jan. 30th, thank you very much! We think you will have a terrific time that day and learn plenty of new things about the Lake Victoria region of East Africa (Tanzania, Kenya & Uganda).
