Dear Encinal Families,
I am happy to announce the beginning of Encinal School's annual Caring & Sharing Thanksgiving/Holiday Drive. From November 2nd through November 17th, the Encinal PTO's Caring & Sharing Committee will collect gift cards and donations to help Encinal families have happy Thanksgiving and December holidays. Over 50 families at Encinal are in need and will benefit. Our goal is to provide to each of our families in need a grocery gift card for Thanksgiving and another grocery gift card in December for a holiday meal. After Thanksgiving we will also be sending home information about our annual gift giving tree for the December holidays. Please help make the drive a success. Here is how you can donate by Thursday, November 17th: - Make an online contribution via PayPal by clicking here.
- Donate cash or a check made out to Encinal PTO. Use any envelope and label it "Holiday Drive". Place your contribution in the drop box on the left wall of the Encinal office or send it to school in your child's green homework folder.
- Drop off grocery gift cards for Trader Joe's or Safeway in any amount in the drop box on the left wall of the Encinal office.
Monetary donations will also support the PTO's Food for Thought program, which provides weekly fruit in the classrooms for any student who forgot a snack or is not able to start their day with a full breakfast. It is intended to ensure that every student has proper nutrition for a productive day at school. Please help support our Encinal families in need for Thanksgiving and the December holidays.
