Book Fair Starts Friday in Small Multi - Also Open Sunday
 The 2011 Encinal Book Fair begins Friday at 8am and takes place in the small multi. It will be open during the Family Movie Night this Friday evening, and also on Sunday afternoon Nov. 6 from 2pm-5pm. Parents are invited to stop by during book fair hours or during your child's regular library time, when they will visit the book fair. Don't forget to help your teacher and her classroom library and/or our librarian and the Encinal library by shopping from their wish list boxes. Encinal Spirit Wear will be for sale during the Friday and Sunday hours. Here are the hours for the "Book Fair Safari" through Thurs. 11/10.: Fri 11/4 8:00am - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:30pm Sun 11/6 2:00pm - 5:00pm

Book Fair Movie Night Friday, Nov. 4th, 6:30pm in Large Multi
 The Book Fair begins on Friday, and the PTO is kicking off the event with a Family Movie Night at 6:30pm featuring "Kronk's New Groove" (rated G). This is the sequel to "The Emperor's New Groove" and it features music and humor without any scares. The movie will be shown in the Large Multi, and families can wear PJs and should bring blankets to sit on. The PTO will provide popcorn and lemonade. The Book Fair will be open for shopping during the movie. There will also be Encinal Spirit Wear for sale during the movie.

"Halloween for Hunger" Food Drive Ends Friday
 If you have not yet had a chance, please support the Student Council's Halloween for Hunger campaign, benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank. The collection barrels by the school drop-off area are filling up, with 8 of the 15 barrels full -- but there is plenty of room for more. We are close to our goal of 1,000 pounds. Let's beat it. Please bring your donation of non-perishable food items to school before the barrels are picked up on Friday Nov. 4, 2011. The list of most-needed foods are here for your reference. Now is the time to take action.

Parents: Visit the Lost and Found When You Visit Book Fair
 There are countless coats, hats, lunch boxes and back packs in the Encinal Lost and Found, and they must belong to somebody - could it be your student? Please check the Lost and Found when you are on campus for the Book Fair. It is located on the outside of Room 25 across from the large multi. The PTO empties the Lost and Found monthly and donates the items to local nonprofits. |
Encinal Spirit Day on Friday
 Parents please note that Friday will be "Crazy Day" at Encinal, with students encouraged by the Student Council to show school spirit by wearing crazy clothes, crazy shoes and more.
