Board of Education Meeting: Superintendent's Goals for 2011-2012

Tonight is the MPCSD Board of Education October meeting, and our new Superintendent Maurice Ghysels is on the agenda to present his goals for the 2011-2012 school year. There will also be an update on testing and assessments results for our District. The meeting is open to the public.

The Board meeting runs 6-10pm and takes place in the Board Room of the District Office on the Encinal campus. For the meeting agenda click here.

Minimum Day This Thursday Oct. 13 - 11:20am Dismissal

This Thursday will be a Minimum Day due to Parent Teacher conferences, and all students will be dismissed at 11:20am. 

Transportation on Minimum Day

Please consider walking or biking. The weather is forecast to be sunny and mild.

The SamTrans bus does not serve 11:20am dismissal on Minimum Days. If your student rides this bus please make alternative arrangements on Thursday.

The District school bus will depart on its usual end-of-day route at 11:25am for kinder, 1st and 2nd grade students. 

Supervision for Encinal students attending Newton Center will begin at 11:20, and the day will run until its usual 6pm closing time. The District bus will make a 12pm run for Newton participants elsewhere in the District.

Younger siblings who attend the library program from 2:30pm to 3:00pm on regular-length school days will meet at the library as usual and then go directly to their usual destination. If your older child picks a younger sibling up at the library, please have them continue to do so on this day.

Halloween Costume Drive Ends Friday Oct. 14

The Encinal Caring and Sharing Halloween Costume Drive ends this Friday, Oct. 14. Please donate new or gently used costumes by placing them in the collection bin just outside the Encinal office. Please email Amy Hamilton at caringandsharing@encinalschool.com if you have any questions.
