Dear Encinal Parents,
I need your help. With just 2 days remaining in the Are You In? campaign, the Encinal PTO is $45,000 short of our goal and only 50% of our Encinal families have donated. The Encinal PTO needs each family's support or our planned programs may be at risk.
The Encinal PTO Membership Campaign aims to raise nearly the entire year's budget. Your volunteer time and donations help provide enriching programs and activities that benefit every child in every CLASS, such as: - Community Building Programs - Family Fun Nights, school spirit events, Week of the Family, Caring and Sharing, staff appreciation, parent community hospitality
- Literacy and Arts Promotion - New books for our library, guided level reading books, annual Community Read, Book Fair, art supplies, Fine Arts Festival, Cultural Arts Day
- Academic Promotion - Classroom supplies and teacher resources, computer learning lab and subscriptions, mentor program, teacher development and training
- Student Programs - Assemblies, field trips, recess and PE equipment, Encinal post office, student clubs, ENTV, garden program, afterschool activities & sports, hot lunch service, teacher-directed lunchtime clubs
- School Communications - Weekly school newsletter to all families, 'Encinal Connections' online magazine, school website, district directory for all families, parent education programs
$10 is the cost of membership. If you can, we ask that you give more. The Encinal PTO has budgeted $200 per child so we are hoping that parents who can will support us at that level or more. Click here to donate online or click here to download the form to pay by check by this Wednesday.
I also encourage every family to support the Menlo Park-Atherton Education Foundation (MPAEF), which helps fund small class sizes and pay for classroom teachers and specialist teachers for science, art, music, and library. We need every family to support the MPAEF to preserve these key aspects of our children's education. Some families may need to space their giving to the PTO and the MPAEF, so you can pledge now to give later by clicking here.
