Kindergarten Welcome Coffee Tomorrow Morning
Wed., Sept. 7th, from 8:30am to 9:30am at 1051 Greenwood

Tomorrow morning from 8:30am to 10:30am the PTO and the Menlo Park Atherton Education Foundation host a welcome coffee for parents of incoming kindergarteners at the home of Kristin Campbell, an Encinal kindergarten mother.

This is a chance for parents to visit with old friends, meet new friends, and ask questions about school, play dates, the scool district, parking, the PTO and the MPAEF. There will eb new parents, returning parents and representatives of te PTO and MPAEF.

RSVPs are appreciate but not mandatory, to Lisa Cope at kindergartencoffee@encinalschool.com. Please come and stay dfor as long as you can.
Spanish Immersion Parent Coffee with Principal Liner
Thursday, Sept 8th from 8:30am to 9:30am at the TERC

 

All Spanish Immersion parents at Laurel and Encinal are encouraged to attend this Principal's Coffee for a report on progress, a celebration of successes, and information about how we plan to support continued growth into the future.

Join the First Meeting of the New MPAEF Leadership Council
Thursday, Sept 8th, from 7 to 8:30pm at the TERC

The Foundation is looking for parent volunteers to work with other district parents to help preserve our high quality schools.
 
Come join Maurice Ghysels, our new superintendent, Foundation board members and other district parents at the Foundation Leadership Council Meeting on Thursday, September 8th, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Teacher Education Resource Center on the Encinal Campus. Come hear Maurice's perspective on school finances, why we have a Foundation and about the many wonderful opportunities to get involved. Some of our volunteer opportunities include:  
  • Auction/Spring event  - event "look"/design, operations, auction catalog,  solicitations
  • School teams - on-campus presence
  • Outreach to local businesses
  • Corporate Marketing - writers, graphic designers, desktop publishers, photographers
  • Website design
  • Fall Campaign
  • and more!

Reduce Traffic Congestion

Reminder: When dropping off, students are to exit curbside only, parents must remain in their vehicle if they drop off curbside.  If your child cannot get out independently, please park and walk your child in. Thank you for helping to keep our vehicle lane moving along safely in the mornings.
